On November 28 & 29, Singapore time
Kazakhstan’s Astana fought back to beat a youthful Manchester United side 2-1 at home on Thursday (Nov 28), earning their first points in the Europa League’s Group L this season.
United captain Jesse Lingard fired them ahead in the 10th minute with a fizzing low shot from 20 metres before Dmitri Shomko and a Di’Shon Bernard own goal turned the match on its head shortly after halftime.
United will complete their group stage campaign at home to Alkmaar while Astana visit Partizan on Dec 12.

Emery future as Arsenal coach was plunged into further doubt on Friday (Nov 29) when the Gunners slumped to a 2-1 loss in the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Japan midfielder Daichi Kamada’s second-half double for the Germans came after captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had opened the scoring in first half injury time for Arsenal inside a half-full Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are now winless in seven games, the club’s worst run since 1992.
